Dad's birthday is coming and I was super attracted by
So I recommended it and without objections from the rest of the family, we reserved a table on a Saturday afternoon for the $9.90 nett lunch buffet.

hungrygowhere mentioned that the variety wasn't much, although some argued that it was sufficient and value for money. So we went there with not too high expectations of the variety, but still with some expectations of the quality of food.
After being seated, we were served with a plate of each variety, as recommended by them as there were 5 of us.
The muay was abit more "creamy" than what my grandma usually cooked... So I was still quite ok with it. I usually dun like to eat muay....
Nice minced meat. Not too salty. Alot of places selling muay have very salty dishes to go with the muay, as they become diluted when you eat with the muay. So I was quite glad I dint have to grimace at super salty minced meat when I had this as my first mouthful without the muay.
I dunno what this is called, some kind of gourd? But this is a common dish at home.
Fish cake and omelette. Omelette tastes like what my grandma makes... I think the taste comes from the browned parts of the omelette.
I like egg plant! ;)
The braised duck and some meat. This is the most raved after dish. Not bad! Succulent duck meat. heh. And again, wasn't too salty. Wun mind eating more of it, even without the muay to dilute it.
Another of my favourites, pig intestines. Felt quite fatty eatting it tho. Some gooey and fat like substance in it. haa. but i like.
I initially tot it was just chives/spring onion.
After some time, Mum pointed out there was bits of fried dace in salted black beans (dao si). My favourite canned food of all times!
Seasoned cockles! This was one dish that they dint serve by default. Maybe cos not everyone eats it. But dad kept telling me it was available, so I asked for it. Looked super seasoned, like it would be super salty... But it wasn't. haa. Then dad and mum only ate one each, restricted by cholesterol i think. My bro and sis both dun eat it. So I had to finish everything. It was quite spicy cos of the chilli...
Other dishes we had are below...
We were also provided with this chilli sauce.
At the end of the meal.... We were left with the following...
The remaining sauce from the cockles...
The shells, all cleared by me.
I was quite terrified by whatever was left of the pig intestines...
But all in all, I think its nice! Worth the money, and nice environment to dine in! ;)
Would like to try the dinner buffet another time. There's bak kut teh and a wider range of food available!
